Born and raised in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, Matt spends his days serving his community as a full-time police officer and his nights living his country music dream one town at a time. Built on hard work, long hours, and small-town values, his music is for the folks who'd rather be around a bonfire than in the city.
​
After picking up a guitar in 2006 and writing his first songs in 2021, Matt has become one of Michigan's hardest-working independent country artists. Between 2025 and 2026, he played more than 125 shows, taking his music from hometown bars and festivals across Michigan all the way to the stages of Nashville.
​
Every show is packed with country favorites from the '90s through today, mixed with original songs inspired by real life, real people, and the roads he's traveled. No smoke. No gimmicks. Just honest country music, cold beer, and stories that hit home.
